The main differences between Garden Retreats and Crown Pavilions
You will notice that one of the main differences between our pods and the garden rooms available from Crown Pavilions is that the latter offer different garden room designs in ranges with specific, pre-determined sizes as well as a bespoke service. A Garden Retreats pod will be fully bespoke and unique to your requirements and specifications. Our modular approach means that you can start with a small pod and then add more if and when you need the extra space.
The materials we use for our pods are also entirely different to the more traditional garden rooms supplied by Crown Pavilions. We’ve switched out timber for carbon fibre and glass fibre, which provides excellent structural strength and won’t rot or expand despite needing zero maintenance. We use no plaster or nails for the construction of our pods, whereas a timber structure like a Crown Pavilions garden room will need securing with a nail gun and cannot be dismantled.
You will also have more options to customise a Garden Retreats pod, including your choice of floor tiles and wall panels, patio or bifold doors in black or grey, three classic cladding colours (black, brown and grey) and optional composite decking which can be matched to your cladding. With Crown Pavilions you can choose between French, sliding or bifold doors but you will have to do much of the customising manually.
Benefits of the Garden Retreats pod
Why choose our Garden Retreats pods to make the most out of your outdoor space? There are plenty of reasons why our customers love the quality we offer. Besides their excellent strength, durability and thermal performance, our construction materials use 75% less energy to produce and manufacture than steel, making them the ideal solution for more sustainable home improvements. Our industry-leading British warm roof system also helps to improve thermal efficiency and has a U-value of 0.18 to allow you to enjoy your outdoor retreat year-round.
On top of that, our materials are easy and fast to fit together for a fuss-free installation process using screws instead of nails so your pod can be dismantled and rebuilt if you move to a new home and want to take your retreat with you. Because our pods are so structurally sound, you can even add a roof terrace at a later date for even more stay-at-home luxury. The versatile nature of modular pods means that you can add more rooms as your needs change, and they can be used all year round for almost any purpose. See our Advice Centre for design inspiration and additional information about what makes our pods special.
